With the success and sheer amount of Applications being built on the Facebook platform, they have finally given developers the ability to create ‘Test User Accounts’. This eliminates the need for the set up of fake accounts that can easily be earmarked as Spam and even shut down by Facebook for not being credible.

Developers can create one test user, or an application can make up to 50 test accounts all of which can be accessed by any ‘developer’ associated with that application. To create a test user account, simply use the Graph API with the application access token.

Additionally, you can easily generate friend connections between test users of the same application via the API to test interactions between users. No more hoping that all news feed interaction will work once live!

What do you think of Facebook’s new test platform? Will it make developing apps easier for you?
